In the Qur'an, Allah Almighty says that take what Muhammad (peace be upon him) gives you and refrain from what he forbids you.
Elsewhere, the Almighty says that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) does not say anything on his own behalf, but says and does what comes from Allaah. Therefore, we must do everything according to the Sunnah.
The literal meaning of stoning(رجم) is to stone someone to death.
Which was prevalent in the law of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) as a legal punishment for various crimes۔
After that, the Holy Prophet (sws) also confirmed this continuous tradition of Abrahimic religion. Therefore, Imam Bukhari narrates from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar in the book Al-Hudood of Sahih Bukhari. This narration is also present in five or six other places of Bukhari Sharif and keeping all these narrations in mind, the sequence of events is that a Jewish couple in the service of the Holy Prophet (saw) in Madinah was presented as guilty of adultery.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: I will judge this case according to your book and asked the Jewish scholars themselves what is the punishment for this crime in your case? They said that the punishment for adultery in our country is that both of them should be blackened and flogged.
L The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked: Is there no stoning in your religion? The Jewish scholars answered no.
Upon this, Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam who was present in the assembly said: O Messenger of Allah! They lie, the punishment for adultery in the Torah is stoning. Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam was one of the great Jewish scholars who converted to Islam and was a Companion of the Prophet. At his request, he asked the Jewish scholars to bring the Torah.
The Torah was brought and a Jewish scholar began to recite the relevant part of it, but he laid his hands on the stoned verse and kept reciting it back and forth. Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam went ahead and shook his hand and recited the verse in which the punishment for adultery is stoned. Upon this, the Holy Prophet stoned the Jewish couple.
Then came more than one case of Muslims in the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in which he punished the married perpetrators of adultery by stoning them to death. Then in the time of the Rightly Guided Caliphs this punishment continued.
According to the narration of Bukhari Sharif, Amir al-mu'minin Hazrat Umar announced in his Friday sermon that according to the Book of Allah, the punishment for adultery for a married man or woman is to be stoned and no one should have any doubt about it. Don't be a victim of Then, according to the narration of Bukhari Sharif, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sentenced him to stoning in a case of adultery during his caliphate and also said that I am giving this punishment according to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
Since then, this has been the position of the majority of the scholars of the ummah, and during the fourteen hundred years, wherever the limits of Shari'ah have been enforced, this has been the punishment for adultery for married men and women.
There is an incident of a woman in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who committed adultery. In Sahih Muslim, it is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Hussain that a woman from the tribe of Jahina came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). She was pregnant with adultery. She said: “O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I have committed the act (ie adultery) on which the limit is obligatory, you set the limit on me. ”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called her guardian and said: "Treat her well and bring her to me when she is pregnant." Then this happened (ie after the pregnancy the guardian took her to the service) and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ordered that she be tied up with her clothes (so that the seventy would not open). Then he was stoned.
Later, the government sent two scholars
When the funeral prayer was offered on him, Hazrat Omar Farooq asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Did you offer the funeral prayer on him even though he had committed adultery?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Surely he has repented in such a way that if his repentance is distributed among the people of Madinah, it will suffice for them (ie they will be forgiven) and you have seen a better repentance than that.
That he sacrificed his life merely for the pleasure of Allah.
